What You Get
You’ll get your own domain name, a year’s worth of hosting with GoDaddy and a new Wordpress blog. You’ll choose one of 10 designs. He’s also throwing in a few helpful plug-ins like the All-in-One SEO Pack and the Google XML Sitemap Generator, which I use here on the SEO Woman blog. In a few days, he’ll send you some simple instructions on how to get into your new blog and start writing.
Johnny only charges $39 for his time. Using his promo code, the domain and hosting for one year cost around $70 to $80 combined.
For about $120, you’ll have everything you need to get started.

What You Don’t Get
Again, this service is for people who just want to start blogging, soon, without fretting over all the technical details. The only way Johnny can afford to offer this service for $39 is by following a very specific system. If he spent a lot of time customizing and tweaking and teaching, the price would have to go way, way up.
This means that Johnny can’t move your old website data to your new blog. He can’t customize the design you choose. He can’t personally tutor you on how to use your new blog.
The good news is, people like me are practically tripping over themselves to give you free advice. Here are a few good places to start:

I don’t want there to be any surprises, so here’s a quick rundown on what you’re about to do:
- You’ll follow an easy 10-step process to buy your hosting and domain name.
- You’ll pick a theme (your blog’s design).
- You’ll email Johnny your theme choice and the other info he’ll need to set up your site.
That’s it. The whole process should take about 15 minutes. In a few days, Johnny will send you instructions on how to log into your new blog and get started.
